Do you want to enjoy a frozen dessert after a fun day in Urbana, OH? You don’t need to drive far to grab an after-dinner treat. Whether you’re in the mood for a simple chocolate cone or an out-of-this-world ice cream sundae dripping with your favorite toppings, check out these four sweet stops before the summer is gone for good!

Carmazzi’s Candy and General Store

Located in the heart of downtown Urbana at 100 S. Main St., Carmazzi’s is more than a nostalgic candy shop. They are one of our favorite places to grab a cold snack while checking out Urbana’s historic Monument Square district and other downtown attractions. Although they’ve only been serving up icy treats since April 2023, they dish out scoops like old pros, with six fan-favorite flavors by Hershey’s featured on their menu.

Stoner’s

Stoner’s, located at 100 S. Detroit St. in nearby West Liberty, is worth the 10-mile drive to get there! This well-appointed shop features inventive flavors such as Chocolate Panda Paws, Deep Sea Treasure, and Cinnamon Bun, along with your old favorites. Various sundae flavors are available, and we rave about their ample scoop sizes. You can even get a quart of your favorite flavor to take home and enjoy at your leisure.

The Spotted Cow Coffeehouse

Are you having trouble deciding between a caffeine fix and a delectable frozen dessert? Why not go for both? At The Spotted Cow Coffeehouse, located at 927 North Main St., you can treat yourself to a frappe, frozen matcha, or frozen hot chocolate whenever you like. Strawberry, strawberry banana, mango, peach, and wildberry smoothies are also available for days when an icy, fruit-filled drink would hit the spot.

Pappy’s

After a day of checking out the sites in and around Urbana in your reliable, ready-for-anything Ford Explorer from White’s Ford, stop by Pappy’s at 832 Miami St. to fill up on pizza and dessert. This restaurant features Dippin’ Dots in convenient pouches you can take on the go. In flavors such as Ultimate Brownie Batter, Cotton Candy, and the newest addition, Cherry ‘N Blue Razz, there’s sure to be something to please everyone in your group!

So, next time you’re craving a frozen treat in Urbana, look no further than these four local stops. Take a step back in time with a cone and some candy at Carmazzi’s, try a new flavor at Stoner’s, get a caffeine-infused (or not) frozen drink at The Spotted Cow, or grab Dippin’ Dots on your way out the door at Pappy’s. Before you embark on your next adventure in Urbana, swing by White’s Ford to choose a vehicle to take you there!
