Champaign Berry Farm, at 5676 E. State Route 29, is an excellent place to enjoy some fresh air with the family and pick up a bevy of tasty seasonal berries and other fruits and produce. You can go berry picking, talk to the farmers themselves, or stroll through the grounds. Plus, you don’t even have to drive outside Urbana to visit the farm. It’s easy to find, there’s a lot of parking, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier.

3. Freedom Grove

Stop by Freedom Grove, at 1378-1536 US-68, and pay homage to the victims of 9/11. This lovely park is a quiet place to reflect and spend a few hours. You’ll be able to walk through the flag display and see a piece of the wreckage from the World Trade Center. If you’re looking for a good place to pay your respects and want to enjoy one of Urbana’s loveliest parks, Freedom Grove is an excellent bet.
