Power and Performance

The Ford Edge comes standard with a turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder engine featuring an output of 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. If you want even more power, the Edge ST comes with a turbocharged EcoBoost V-6 that generates 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Unfortunately, the Pilot lineup only features one engine, a V-6 capable of producing 285 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. With less torque than the Edge, the Pilot doesn't give you as much get-up-and-go.

Plus, every Edge comes standard with all-wheel drive, helping you take on challenging conditions with maximum traction and stability. If you want a Pilot with all-wheel-drive capabilities, you'll have to pay extra.

Connectivity

Every Ford Edge integrates with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto via an intuitive touchscreen display measuring 12 inches. While the Pilot is also smartphone compatible, its standard touchscreen only measures 7 inches. Even if you upgrade to an upper trim, you only get a 9.0-inch display. Plus, Wi-Fi hotspot capability comes standard in the Edge. The Pilot only offers Wi-Fi hotspot capability in upper trim levels. Every Edge offers a free trial to SiriusXM satellite radio, another feature only available in upper trims if you go with the Pilot.
